Archaeological excavation (digging), where recommended, involves getting down in the dirt and getting dirty. It comes in many forms. Southern Archaeology specialises in providing the right archaeological excavation for the job whether it be:

• A simple monitoring or watching brief
• Targeted test pitting, or
• A full open area excavation

Southern Archaeology can tailor the work to suit individual needs, within heritage guidelines. We use our own specialist excavator driver and machine for those bigger jobs.
